The insurance industry has recently launched an awareness drive ‘Sabse Pehle Life Insurance’ to spread awareness about life insurance. This has come after IRDAI asked the industry to run a campaign similar to ‘Mutual Funds Sahi hai’ to increase awareness about life insurance in the country.

The ‘Mutual Funds Sahi Hai’ campaign is widely regarded as a success.

Sabse Pehle Life Insurance campaign stresses the need for insurance and explains how life insurance helps to protect against uncertainties. It also touches upon key benefits of life insurance such as securing family from heavy debt and achieving unfinished life goals.

Going forward, the campaign will run in regional languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Bangla to increase the coverage.

V Manickam, Secretary, Life Insurance Council said, “As part of Indian culture, our elders have always stressed on doing the most essential things first and then carry on with other things. This is an integral part of day-to-day conversations. ‘Sabse Pehle Life Insurance’ comes from this very cultural nuance and will help establish an understanding of the essentiality of life insurance in our lives and the need to treat it as top most priority while planning for life.”
