Now, LIC policyholders can make a claim request completely online. India’s largest insurer, LIC India has introduced a host of services on its online portal like online claim request, death claim registration, request for maturity and survival dues, annuity registration and so on.
LIC claims that this will ensure that there is no delay in service requests due to nationwide lockdown.
Your clients can click here to make service requests. However, they will have to first register themselves with LIC customer portal to avail this facility.
Here is the process for registration on portal.
For registration for online services on portal, keep these documents ready:
- Policy numbers on your own life & on the life of your minor children
- Instalment premiums under these policies (without service tax/GST)
- Scanned image of PAN Card or Passport, with file size less than 100 KB. The scanned image should be preferably in .jpg or .jpeg .bmp, .png, gif, .tiff
The next step is to visit www.licindia.in and click on customer portal and select new user
- Your clients can create their own user-id and password and provide all the necessary information
- Click on the tab “e-services”, login with the user-id created and register your policies for availing the e-services by filling up the form provided
- Print the form, sign it and upload the scanned image of the form
- Upload the scanned image of PAN Card or Aadhaar Card or Passport
LIC will verify all documents and send you an acknowledgement e-mail and SMS. Once the account is activated, your clients can make service requests online.
