Tata AIA Life Insurance has introduced a new facility‘Express Claims’, which claims to process the life insurance claim pay-outs within four hours of registering the claim.
The insurer has also introduced ‘Easy Claim’ service in which representatives of the company offer claims services at the doorstep by assisting with the necessary claims related documentation so that the nominees do not have to visit the branch to register their claim.
Currently, the nominee has to file claim by filling a claims form along with policy holder death certificate, nominee's KYC documentation likeAadharcard, PAN card and bank account details.
In a press release, Yusuf Pachmariwala, Executive Vice President and Head of Operations, said, “The very reason why people purchase a life insurance policy is to financially secure their loved ones in case of policyholder’s death. It is therefore imperative that the claim be settled soonest as possible. Through these initiatives, we are introducing the ultimate hassle-free & speedy claims process.”
Here is how clients can avail the Express Claim facility:
1. The nominee visits nearest branch with necessary documents
2. The company representatives will assist the nominee with documentation and immediately update internal systems
3. The company will process the claim request with full payment within 4 hours
For Easy Claim:
1. Nominee will have to call at helpline no. and schedule an appointment
2. A representative will visit the nominee’s residence to assist him with the claims process
3. The claim is settled without claimant visiting the branch within 4 hours
