HDFC Life has partnered with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to create new individual life insurance agents.
Under this initiative, the insurer will train candidate to clear IC38 examination required to become an agent. The company will also impart training on soft skills that will groom the candidate professionally.
In a press release, Suresh Badami – Deputy Managing Director, HDFC Life said, “India is poised for growth as a large number of young Indians are entering the workforce. Our partnership with NSDC will aim to impart skill and give an opportunity to individuals enabling them to build their livelihood. Our strong learning and development platform are designed to equip individuals with a diverse set of skills. These individuals will in turn play a key role in enhancing the reach of life insurance in the country.”
The insurer will promote this initiative through on ground and mass media activities.
NSDC was set up by Ministry of Finance as Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. It offers training and development support to Indian youth looking for an employment opportunity.
