Bajaj Allianz General Insurance has introduced a new add on cover ‘V-Pay’. This add on covers minor scratches, dents and mechanical/electrical breakdowns.
Generally, insurers pay only if damage is due to an accident. The new feature covers host of things that are not included in standard motor policies. It also offers coverage for electric and hybrid vehicles from damages arising due to power surges, explosions, water ingression and short circuits.
In a press release, Tapan Singhel, MD & CEO, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, said, “Motor Insurance offers multiple add-on covers but choosing the right ones can be daunting. Likewise, during claims, it is overwhelming for customers to understand what falls under the purview of their policy and what they have to bear from their pocket. Addressing these concerns, the new add on feature streamlines the entire process from purchasing the cover to a hassle-free claim settlement.
