    LIC books profit of over Rs.9500 crore in April-June 2023

    Majority of profits has come due to availability of solvency margin.

    India’s largest insurer, LIC India has posted net profit of Rs.9500 crore in April-June 2023. Majority of this profit was due to availability of solvency margin, said the company statement.

    Overall, the company sold over 32 lakh policies during April-June 2023 collecting premium of Rs. 98,363 crore as on June 2023.

    Currently, LIC manages AUM of over Rs. 46 lakh crore as on June 2023.

    In another development, LIC has appointed R Doraiswamy as the new MD.
