Mumbai: Insurance companies are in the race to launch insurance products catering to HNI and NRI clients through health and life insurance product.

IDBI Federal General Insurer recently launched Wealthsurance Premier Plan which is targeted at HNI clients. ICICI Prudential Life Insurance targets NRIs offering them annuity solution through ICICI Pru Immediate Annuity product.

Future Generali is also launching  products targeting HNI clients. “We are planning to launch products in the high growth health segment targeting HNI clients as expect this segment to flourish,” says K.G. Krishnamoorthy Rao, MD & CEO Future Generali India Insurance Company Ltd.

The product will be launched with a high sum assured where one can take treatment anywhere in the world.” Currently most of the policies in this category are issued with a maximum sum assured of Rs. 10 lakh whereas our health policy will be issued with a sum assured of half a million dollar. The policy will be issued in India.” adds Rao.

The company claims to provide reimbursement and cashless options in its health policy. They have tie- ups with overseas service providers who would provide assistance to the policyholders for settling their claims. “These service providers will take care of everything about the policyholder as soon as he gets admitted. Currently we have tie-up with Europe Assistance, a Generali company which provides worldwide services” adds Krishnamoorthy.
