UP MFD couple Ashok and Rashmi Thukral of Thukral Group, Bhadohi will offer scholarship to 14 students under 14 years of age on the occasion of Children’s day i.e. on November 14.
The MFD couple reached out to the district education officer to conduct a special test to identify 14 deserving students studying in class 6 to class 8.
Under this initiative, the couple will give Rs.1000 per month to 14 students for a year. The couple will give this scholarship in the memory of Ashok’s father Jagdish Lal Thukral.
Talking about this initiative, Ashok said that he believes in giving back to society. Sharing an incident which inspired him for this initiative, he said, “I went to a drawing competition recently in Bhadohi. I came across a drawing by a school kid, which was very creative and attractive. When I asked about the family, the kid said he is an orphan. This made me think that such kids should be supported and I thought of launching this initiative.”
Ashok said that the district authority is also supporting this initiative by promoting it among schools in Bhadohi district. The MFD told Cafemutual that he will continue this initiative in the coming years and in fact, he will increase the number of students.
As on March 2023, Ashok and Rashmi Thukral manage AUM of Rs.421 crore.
