While we all hear about the effects of global warming and its effect on the environment, only a few people rise to protect Mother Nature.
Bhopal MFD Munnavar Khan of KGN Social Foundation is a rare exception who has made it a regular habit to conduct plantation drives to help the surrounding environment.
Recently, Munnavar organised a tree plantation drive drive in which the members planted 500 saplings. This drive was conducted under the aegis of SBI Mutual Fund and the local police. These saplings were planted in land owned by the police authorities.
About 200 people took part in the event including members of KGN Social Foundation run by Munnavar, local police and 20 other individual MFDs and 10 MF officials.
Munnavar said that he has been conducting plantation drives every year after seeing the temperature increase every year and its effect on people.
The MFD said that the plantation drives have made him popular among the local community and helped him in getting a lot of clients through referrals.
