Thane MFD Sandeep Baravkar of SRS Financial Services and his team distributed raincoats and stationery to 44 tribal students in a government school at Sonale Village, Palghar.
He was inspired by a simple desire – he did not want to see these tribal students miss school during monsoons due to heavy rains.
Sandeep told Cafemutual that he came to know through a school teacher that many tribal students in his school were not turning up to school due to heavy rainfall. While these students have umbrellas, the umbrellas are of no use due to strong winds in their area. He said, “When I came to know about this hardship, my team and I decided we should do something so that students do not have to skip school due to rains. Hence, we distributed raincoats along with stationary items to these students.”
The MFD said that he spent Rs.30,000 to support this cause.
