MFD Vikrant Katoch of Rupee Express, Shimla has literally gone the extra mile to promote the mutual funds sahi hai campaign. Vikrant reached an altitude of 16000 feet in the Himalaya and hoisted a flag that said “Mutual Funds Sahi Hai”.
Vikrant feels AMFI’s Mutual Funds Sahi Hai campaign has helped MFDs like him, who hail from small towns, in a big way.
“Being an admirer of this campaign, I always wanted to contribute to this campaign. I was looking for an unique and creative way to promote this campaign. And then one day I thought why not take this campaign to a new high by sharing this message to the world, from top of the world!”
Vikrant along with his 5 friends embarked for this trek on September 22. The trek started from Manikaran, which is located in the Parvati Valley on river Parvati of Himachal Pradesh. Then they went to Animal Pass in Parvati Valley, which is at an altitude of over 15,000 feet. The uphill journey continued further and they reached Sara Umga Pass, situated at an altitude of over 16,000 feet. And there, they hoisted the Mutual Funds Sahi Hai flag and yelled out a slogan as well.
Vikrant said that it took 7 nights and 8 days to complete the journey, which meant they had to carry their own tents, food and other necessities with them. “It was literally an uphill extremely difficult task. But when I look at the pictures and videos of Mutual Fund Sahi Hai, I feel proud of myself.”
