According to a recent survey by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), over 27% of students in India do not have access to smartphones or laptops to attend online classes.
Because of the pandemic situation and lockdown, many students across the country have not had access to education due to lack of resources.
When Baroda distributor Ankit Agarwal of ACA, Gullak Finserv came to know about children who had to discontinue their studies due to unavailability of smartphones, he donated Rs.21,000 to a charitable trust who was collecting funds to buy tablets, smartphones for destitute students.
Soon he realized that there are many such students across the country who did not have access to online studies. To support these children, Ankit has decided to donate his entire trial commission, which he will receive from his SIP drive. He executed 99 SIPs amounting to Rs.5.82 lakh in a single day.
Ankit believes that he will be able to accumulate another Rs.72, 000 from this SIP drive to support this cause.
