As many as 23 new MFDs across the country conducted online IAP sessions simultaneously in a single day.

Interestingly, this was their first IAP for each of them and it turned out to be a big success. Overall, over 1500 investors across the country attended these IAPs.

It all started when these distributors attended a training session on acquiring clients through IAPs. These distributors decided to conduct IAPs on the same day by coordinating with each other. Bangalore MFD Srikant Matrubai of Srikavi Wealth   mentored these new MFDs to conduct their first IAP successfully.

These MFDs  followed five steps to make their online IAP successful:

    • Identified the right target audience
    • Chose topics and themes that could interest their target audience
    • Captured details of attendants to understand their life situation well in advance
    • Ran social media campaign to promote their IAPs
    • Invited guest speakers like CEOs, CIOs of AMCs to lend their expertise

Sharing her experience, Odisha MFD Swati Boundia who took part in this IAP drive said that she targeted middle aged salaried individuals to promote retirement planning. “Most people in their 30s have not started saving for retirement. Hence, I did my first IAP to create awareness about retirement. I explained to the participants about the impact of inflation on savings, corpus needed when they retire and how SIPs can help them reach their target,” she said.

Hyderabad MFD Tirupati Roy said he has converted 20 participants who attended his online IAP into clients. "I focused on goal based investment through mutual funds. The idea was to help participants identify financial goals and show them path to achieve these goals through mutual funds. In addition, word of wisdom from senior AMC officials   brought more clarity to the subject,” said Tirupati.

Talking about this initiative, Matrubai said, “These 23 advisors  come from remote districts of Haryana, Punjab, Odisha, Gujarat and Maharashtra. They have inspired the entire distribution community with such a huge investor gathering despite difficult times.”
