Meet Howrah MFD who helps covid patients get plasma

Jai Shaw of Midas Capital works with an NGO that helps covid patients get plasma.
    Karishma Gagwani May 7, 2021

With rising number of covid patients, the demand of Plasma from recovered patients has gone up sharply. However, many people are not comfortable donating plasma after recovering from covid due to subsequent weakness and fear of getting infected twice. Another challenge is finding a person who has recovered from covid and is open to donate his plasma to save lives.

Considering these challenges, Kolkata MFD Jai Shaw of Midas Capital came forward to help covid victims fight back against the virus strongly. Jai is associated with an NGO that arranges blood, platelets and plasma for covid patients.

In addition, Jay maintains a list of prospective plasma donors who have recovered from covid and open to donate plasma. He also keeps his clients updated about the NGO’s activities and urges them to share his number with those in need of blood/platelet/plasma donation. He is instrumental in connecting many needy with the donors.

Jai also supports asymptomatic and mild symptomatic people in home isolation by helping them avail telemedicine support.

“I am trying to do my bit for the society,” says Jai. He has been enthusiastically associated with the NGO for two and a half years now and also donates platelets regularly every two to three months across different hospitals. Jai willingly travels to required hospitals irrespective of the distance and declines to accept money spent on conveyance. He believes that attaching a monetary value to any social deed nullifies the noble cause. Before being a platelet donor, Jai was regular at donating blood for around ten years.

In the quest of continuing service to mankind, Jai signed up for organ donation a couple of years back.
