Meet Jamshedpur MFD who lends emotional support to covid patients

When people fall ill, they seek support from their family and friends. However, covid is perhaps the only disease which sets apart people from their family and friends. In fact, we have heard stories where family members did not get to see their loved ones who died due to the virus.

However, there are Heroes who do not fear this virus solider. Jamshedpur MFD Amit Agarwal of Hi-Tech Capital pushes all boundaries to lend emotional support to covid patients and their family members during these testing times.

As soon as Amit learns about a covid victim, he extends full support by coordinating for an ambulance. He also reaches the hospital and helps in fulfilling the admission formalities. Amit has helped with the successful admission of multiple people in his circle. He believes that the affected families are already under stress and normally find it difficult to understand what is to be done next.

Last month, the virus attacked one of Amit’s acquaintances who is a renowned face in Jamshedpur. It had impacted 60% of his lungs. He was initially in home isolation but later his health began to deteriorate. Amit shared that there was a lack of hospital beds in the locality and hence it was decided to go to Kolkata. As an air ambulance wasn’t available, they had to go by road. Not fearing the virus, Amit felt the need of being in the ambulance as a support system. Amit’s noble act was also covered by a local newspaper as it helped save a life.

Amit also shared that there is a temporary check-post opposite his house, where police personnel work under the scorching heat for ensuring compliance with lockdown rules. Amit has been doing his bit by distributing buttermilk daily for the past 15 days. He had undertaken this initiative during the first wave of the pandemic as well.

Amit also donates wooden logs to the crematorium. Getting inspired by Amit, others from his circle also came forward to donate.

Amit says, “We all should unite to fight against the pandemic. Coming forward to help others inspires many more to come in the forefront.”
