J&K MFD Ravi Kumar, who is the sarpanch of Haripur gram panchayat has been leaving no stone unturned in the ongoing fight against the pandemic.
Recently Ravi along with a few Panchayat members carried out a vaccination drive in villages. Close to 50 villagers benefited with the vaccination drive. Ravi and other members of his Panchayat had funded this drive.
In addition, Ravi organised sanitisation drive to sanitize every nook and corner of the villages. He also distributed masks in these villages.
Following government’s direction to set up covid care centre in every panchayat, Ravi managed to set up a centre with 5 beds within 24 hours. He has also arranged for oxygen cylinders in this centre. The patients will be served food and will be given medical care free of cost.
Ravi said that the centre will receive the funds as allocated by the government. Taking into account the possible rise in the number of cases, a nearby school has been shortlisted to be prepared as a 40/50 bed covid centre if the need arises, he added.
Ravi has been quick at finding and implementing solutions for the benefit of the panchayat and has also garnered appreciation in multiple media channels.
