The role of MFD is not just restricted to distribution of financial products, it is more to do with clients’ wellbeing. With this belief, Bangalore MFD Basavaraju Angadi has been ensuring that all his clients get covid vaccination and stay healthy.
It all started when Angadi came to know that Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is holding a vaccination drive at Yelahanka in Bengaluru. He approached the municipal corporation to understand if the drive could be extended to his clients.
On assurance of corporation that the vaccination drive is open for all people in the age group of 45 and above if they get their registration done before 7.30 am at the venue, Angadi invited all his clients who were eligible for the vaccination drive at the camp.
The drive has been scheduled between June 1 and June 3; Angadi reaches the venue at 6 am every day to arrange logistics for his clients for registration. He fills up their registration form, collects token and completes all other formalities. He also stays at the camp till the last client gets his vaccination.
Angadi has recently recovered from covid and he is currently not eligible for getting a vaccination. Despite this, he has been helping his clients and their family members get vaccination.
During the first wave of the pandemic, Angadi distributed 500 meal packets and 100 ration packets among underprivileged in the lockdown. Additionally, he distributed masks, sanitisers and hand gloves to covid soldiers. He has also been associated with many associations to support numerous social and environmental causes.
Currently, Angadi aims to distribute ration packets to the affected families and organise online yoga sessions to help people lead healthy lives.
