Junagarh MFD Amit Charadava who was felicitated with ‘The Responsible MFD’ Award in February 2021 by Axis Mutual Fund and Cafemutual for setting up affordable quarantine centre for covid victims last year has continued his noble deeds to fight against the second wave of coronavirus pandemic.
Despite contracting the coronavirus disease twice, Amit has been helping covid victims in hospitalization, arranging oxygen cylinders and lifesaving drugs like Remdesivir.
Amit has been distributing water bottles, juices and snacks to family members of covid victims who have to wait for hours to get beds at hospitals.
In addition, he has been helping covid victims with food packets, medicines and oxymeter who opt for home quarantine.
Amit has also rented a space to provide medical consultation and medicines free of charge to covid patients and arranged for a few doctors to give consultation to people between 3 pm and 5 pm every day.
In February, Amit along with a few volunteers had organised a vaccination drive for 800 people. He conducted another vaccination drive on June 11 for third gender community.
Amit depends on donations and his own savings to fund these initiatives.
