Philip Cherian of Smartsave Finserv LLP and President of the Association of Independent Financial Advisors (AIFA) - Kochi, Kerala
Philip celebrated his sixth consecutive SIP drive on 13 Sep 2021 when he booked 102 SIPs to the tune of Rs. 2.93 lakh. Here are the key highlights of the drive.
- Launched a campaign on social media to promote his SIP drive 20 days in advance
- Since Philip has been conducting drives regularly, his existing clients who did not participate in the previous drives showed interest to participate in this SIP drive
- Reached out to prospective clients from the leads generated through referrals and social media platform (Facebook and YouTube Channel)
- Met them to explain to them importance of SIPs to create wealth. His team followed up with all the prospects to ensure their participation
- Collected necessary documents well in advance and logged in SIPs through online platform

Roopesh Jaitly - Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
Roopesh did 151 SIPs amounting to Rs. 4.75 lakh on 16 Aug 2021. Let us look at his story:
- Themed ‘Financial Freedom’ to celebrate the spirit of independence
- Started preparing two months in advance and primarily focused on new client acquisition through referrals
- Reached out to prospects through phone calls and meetings to understand their profile and explain to them benefits of SIPs. Also, contacted existing clients who have invested with him through lumpsum
- 125 investors participated in the drive of which 80% were first-time investors

- When existing clients personally introduce their MFDs to referrals, it becomes easier to break the ice and win the confidence of prospects
Sanjay Gaggar, National Bulls Investment Services - Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra
Sanjay registered 109 SIPs tallying to Rs. 3.20 lakh on 16 Sep 2021. Here are the key takeaways from his drive.
- Sanjay did his second SIP drive focussing mainly on international funds for geographical diversification. He reached out to his existing clients who do not have exposure to international funds
- Met clients to explain to them the advantages of geographic diversification. Also, shared with them the success of his previous drive along with investors’ experience
- Shared with them the performance of international economies and recommended exposure in US equities through international funds
- 58 investors participated in the drive, of which more than 90% were existing clients

- Sharing the success stories of previous drives and investors’ experience generates interest among clients to participate in such drives
