Yogendra Singh Tomar and Sachin Karate have booked impressive numbers in their recent SIP drives. Talking to Cafemutual, they shared with us their approach to conduct the SIP drives.
Yogendra Singh Tomar, Moneybuzz Financials, Indore, Madhya Pradesh
Did 3369 SIPs on Nov 2 amounting to Rs 38 lakh.
Yogendra relied on physical meetings and IAPs to conduct SIP drive. He planned a 30-day ‘SIP tour’ covering twelve locations in Madhya Pradesh - Katni, Harda, Kotma, Bijuri, Vidisha, Sagar, Bhopal, Damoh, Shahdol, Khandwa, Mhow and Dhar.
Yogendra believes that in-person meetings make it easy for MFDs to gain confidence of clients and prospects. In these meetings and IAPs, he talked about benefits of doing SIPs in mutual funds to achieve financial goals.
Since Yogendra’s friends worked in these locations, he took their help and organised IAPs at their offices along with meeting existing clients. He conducted IAPs in groups on 20-25 and reached out to more than 250 prospects. After each IAP, he met prospects who showed their interests for further discussions. Yogendra travelled a whopping 3000 km by road during his SIP tour.
Another thing that Yogendra believes has helped him in making his SIP drive successful is offering online facilities. He offers an app that helps his clients execute transaction and monitor investment portfolio on a real-time basis. He said, “This convinced them about the ease of transacting, which also gave my prospects a sense of having complete control over their finances.”
As soon as the prospects agreed to invest, Yogendra got his team connected to them for ensuring the timely collection of required details.
Overall, 400 individuals invested through Yogendra of which 35% were new clients.
Sachin Karate, Varad Financial Services, Nashik, Maharashtra
