With reopening of schools, many children are excited to get back to their pre-covid lives. However, while private schools are well prepared to ensure safety of children, government schools are yet to catch up to ensure safety of children.
“The shift from a screen-confined environment to normal schooling is a refreshing change, however, their safety remains the main concern”, said Amit Charadava of Jash Consultancy.
Keeping this mind, Amit got in touch with government schools through the District Education Officer to implement precautionary measures. He along with an NGO distributed 45 kits comprising digital thermometers, gun thermometers, oxymeters, hand sanitisers and gloves, multivitamin tablets and ORS sachets.
Each kit was for around Rs. 5000. Amit met 50% of the total cost from his funds and he raised the balance 50% from the NGO.
On November 27, 2021, Amit hosted representatives from 45 government schools and handed over the kits. He also invited two doctors who demonstrated the use of medical devices and shared guidelines on the use of multivitamins and ORS. Additionally, the doctors also shared with attendees tips for handling emergencies.
“The distribution of medical kits was a humble attempt to create a safe and enjoyable environment for our kids”, said Amit.
