    Meet two Bihar MFDs who did over 100 SIPs in a single day.

    Two Bihar MFDs Amar Nath Sah and Anil Kumar Singh have recently booked more than 100 SIPs in a single day.

    Both of them have conducted their first drive in Madhubani, nearly 180 km from Patna, Bihar. Let us hear their story in their own words.

    Amar Nath Sah, Madhubani, Bihar

    The inspiration: I got inspiration to execute a SIP drive by reading articles on Cafemutual, especially the one which talked about how a Bihar MFD booked over 100 SIPs in a single day. I thought - if he can do it, I can do it too.

    The drive: I reside in Khutauna, a rural town in Madhubani where investors find comfort in traditional investment avenues like post office schemes and fixed deposits. Further, they are not comfortable with online transactions.

    My wife, Manjukumari and I worked as a team. We met many existing and prospective clients physically. Telephonic conversation and video calls do not work here.

    In these meetings, I explained to them about the benefits of putting small amounts in mutual funds through SIPs to create wealth and achieve financial goals like children education. I even showed them my investments in mutual funds to highlight its growth potential in the long term.

    We also did follow up meetings to address their queries and concerns and convince them to participate in our SIP drive.

    My wife took care of form filling and ensured all documents are in place.

    The outcome: We did 101 SIPs amounting to Rs. 1.50 lakh physically. Additionally, we received Rs. 5 lakh through lump sum. Most of the clients were first time investors. Overall, 57 investors participated in this drive.

    The inspiration: I have read multiple stories on SIP drives on Cafemutual. Every time I read a new story, it inspired me even more. The desire to get covered on Cafemutual’s website kept me motivated throughout the drive.   

    The drive: I hail from Rajnagar where there is no awareness about mutual funds.

    While many people know ‘mutual funds sahi hai’ but they have no idea about how to go about investing in them. Over the last few weeks, I met a few existing clients who had not increased their SIPs in two years.

    I also met prospective clients through referrals to make them understand about the benefits of investing in mutual funds through SIPs.

    In addition, I shared a note with them which highlighted past performance of equity funds over other asset classes. Finally, I highlighted benefits of mutual funds like liquidity, professional management and low cost to promote it among people.

    I followed up with each client to ensure that they participate in the SIP drive.

    The outcome: I booked 113 SIPs digitally for Rs. 1.50 lakh. Overall, 30 investors including 20 new clients participated in the SIP drive.
