To mark the celebration of Holi, Bhopal MFD Munnavar Khan of Vision Advisory Services organised ‘Sangeet Evam Kavi Sammelan’ at Vallabh Nagar Anganwadi Kendra.
The Sammelan was held on Mar 19, 2022 and hosted four stunning performers, who were in their teens. Over 200 children and parents from other Anganwadis attended this event.
The mutual fund distributor said, “Two performers were visually-impaired and through their soulful voice, they taught us to overcome difficulties and make the most of what we have.”
He further added, “Every child is gifted and deserves a platform to showcase their talent. This was our humble attempt to provide them with that platform. Towards the end of the event, we felicitated the talented four with a trophy.”
The Sammelan inspired other children to identify and nurture their talents. Post the event, many approached Munnavar to share with him their desire to learn singing. “We are working on arranging free singing classes”, said Munnavar.
Munnavar has adopted Vallabh Nagar Anganwadi Kendra through his organisation KGN Social Foundation. Following the philosophy, ‘Neki se anand ki ore’ (From kindness to satisfaction), he along with his team look after the daily needs of 120 children. Recently, they renovated Anganwadi to make it vibrant and lively.
The team has also taken up other initiatives like the distribution of hygiene products to the mothers of children at Anganwadi and setting up a collection point for the general public to donate books, stationery, toys, and other items of their choice.
