    Continuing with our earlier article please find some more interesting facts about emerging markets especially led by India and China, which will highlights how attractive emerging markets are:

    1. 1/3 of International Students will be from China or India

    By 2024, nearly 3.9 million students are expected to move out of their home countries to study abroad. Within this large population, approximately one-third of will be from either India or China.

     

    2. Beijing to Become the World’s Biggest City in 2025

    Beijing is expected to become the world’s largest city in 2025. The total population of this megacity in China is expected to surge from 16 million in 2011 to 44 million in 2025. Tokyo would mark second in line with 39 million, despite the nation’s rather stagnant population growth. Meanwhile, New Delhi, would follow the two cities closely behind with an estimated population of 33 million by 2025.

     

    3. EM Consumers Leading the World's Economic Development

     

     

    Between  2012 and 2016, emerging markets will have added an average of $1.2 trillion of consumer spending to the global economy every year. In the meantime, developed markets are expected to end up with a relatively smaller portion of $700 billion per year.
