One of the best ways to connect with clients, team, AMC officials and fellow distributors amid lockdown is through video conferencing. Unlike a regular voice call, there are apps that can help you connect with many individuals and hold interactive sessions.
Keeping in mind the current situation of lockdown, we have shortlisted five video conferencing apps for you. Let us look at them.
Zoom: The best part of this app is that participants can use video conferencing facility even without downloading this app. Only one person i.e. host have to download this app and send invitation to other participants for video conference.
Skype for business: Skype for business offers high level security to all the meetings. Communication is encrypted end to end and protects all the data.
Google Duo: Google Duo lets users make video calls in high definition and is optimized for low-bandwidth networks. It doesn’t require separate sign in; you can use it like a phone call and video call anyone in your contact list. All android phones have built in Google Duo app.
GoTo Meeting: In GoTo Meeting app, participants can join the meeting by simply answering a call. There are no codes or PINs needed.
Microsoft teams: Microsoft Teams is a chat-based video conferencing app that allows participants to share file simultaneously.
Here are some common features of these apps:
Turning off/on Mic and camera
Remember that you should mute your mic when you are not speaking.
Mute a participant
Person hosting or starting the conference call has an option to mute a participant. To do so, he has to use the option of “manage participants” in the task bar and then “mute” a particular participant.
Raise your hand
You can raise your hand virtually so that the host understands that you want to speak. This feature helps in preventing multiple people talking at the same time.
Record a meeting
Every video meeting can be recorded; the host of the meeting can record it, to do so there is a “Record” button on the taskbar.
Chat with colleagues
Most apps enable participants to ask questions to individual participants during the meeting. In order to use this feature, use the “chat” option on the taskbar. You can send a private message to a colleague by selecting their name from the drop-down menu located above the text field.
