Deepak Sood, an insurance industry veteran and Karan Datta, a MF industry veteran have joined one of India’s largest national distributors, Prudent Corporate as Independent Directors.
Deepak has over 30 years of experience in insurance industry. He has worked as CEO of Avantha Ergo and Future Generali. He has also played leadership roles in Bajaj Allianz, Zurich Fin & United India.
Karan Datta has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to this, he was Chief Business Officer at Axis Mutual Fund. He has also worked with Goldman Sachs, Franklin Templeton, Aditya Birla Financial Services and Tata Finance.
Shirish Patel, CEO, Prudent Corporate Advisory told Cafemutual that induction of Deepak and Karan as independent directors will help the company get domain expertise and insights on growing business. He said, “Both Deepak and Karan bring collective experience of over 55 years in the financial services industry. While Deepak will help us take our insurance distribution business to the new heights, insights from Karan will keep our growth momentum in MF distribution business intact.”
Prudent Corporate manages AUA of Rs.22640 crore in mutual funds as on March 2020. The company has a huge network of over 14,000 distributors and 5500 point of sales representatives.
