HDFC MF to plant a tree for every new SIP registration

The initiative that started on May 31 will end on June 4. Investors need to start a minimum Rs 1,000 SIP in equity scheme to become a part of the initiative.
    Jun 1, 2021

HDFC MF will plant a tree for every new SIP registration between May 31 and June 4, 2021, subject to certain conditions. The initiative has been named 'Nurture Nature'.

The sapling will be planted on investor's behalf only if the SIP is for a minimum amount of Rs 1,000 per month and is for a tenure of at least 3 years.

Further, the SIP should be in an equity-oriented scheme (excluding arbitrage and index funds). The fund can be of any type (regular or direct) but the mode of transaction should be online.

Once a SIP is started that fulfils all these conditions, the AMC will plant a tree on behalf of the investor after three months. After the plantation, the investor will receive an eCertificate from HDFC AMC.

“Our Nurture Nature initiative of planting trees on behalf of investors’ commencing SIPs is aimed at helping investors create wealth while contributing to a greener future. We also want to encourage digital on-boarding which brings convenience to investors while supporting the environment,” said MD & CEO Navneet Munot.

HDFC MF has launched the initiative in association with Grow-Trees.com.
