For a salesperson, success largely hinges on his communication skills. This is especially true when the product is as complicated as a mutual fund scheme.
There are some MFDs who are champions at this task. Bringing their creativity to full use, they are able to explain even complex mutual schemes to a lay investor in a simple way.
Cafemutual in association with Mirae Asset Mutual Fund has come up with a contest to reward such MFDs. The 'Hybrid matlab...' contest aims to test the imagination and creative skills of the MFDs and reward the best ones.
To participate all you need to do is create a short video or write a short text on hybrid funds in a unique and interesting way and send it to Abhishek Kumar on 9709008634 by August 2, 2021.
To give you an example, our Associate Editor, Nishant Patnaik has penned down his thoughts on hybrid funds. He wrote, “Honestly, hybrid funds are like Khichdi – Healthy and Tasty. I still remember when my niece turned 6 months, her doctor advised us to feed her with Khichdi as it has all ingredients required for growth and development of a child. And just like Khichdi, we have hybrid funds in the mutual fund industry which offer growth and stability to investment portfolio. All first-time investors should start their investing journey with hybrid funds. Also, existing investors who want to keep investment portfolio healthy should invest in hybrid funds to get exposure to best of both the world – debt and equity.”
Talking about this initiative, Swarup Mohanty, CEO, Mirae Asset Investment Managers India, said, "MFDs, who are the face of the industry in front of the investor, put a lot of efforts in coming out with easy-to-understand definitions of mutual fund products. I have always been curious as to how distributors explain complex schemes to lay investors. Through this contest, we want to bring out such ideas so that we all can learn from them."
Three MFDs with interesting definition and description on hybrid funds will get digital certificates and Amazon gift vouchers.
