    UTI AMC’s profit jumps 53% to Rs.155 crore in Q1

    Income rises 32% to 344 crore during the quarter.

    UTI AMC has reported 53% increase in net profit to Rs.155 crore for the first quarter of financial year 2022. In the corresponding period last year, the AMC posted profit after tax (PAT) of Rs.101 crore.

    The AMC's revenue from operations went up 32% to Rs 344 crore in Q1 FY 2022 from Rs 260 crore in Q1 FY 2021.

    "We have observed a rising affinity of investors towards mutual funds even during market volatility and the uncertainty that has been caused due to the pandemic. UTI AMC also stands stronger and continues to maintain the growth graph. We aim to stay focused to combat the volatility and emphasize on good returns while growing our investor base," said UTI CEO Imtaiyazur Rahman.

    Profit up 16% quarter on quarter (QoQ)

    UTI AMC's Rs 155 crore profit in Q1 is 16% higher compared to the previous quarter (Q4 FY 2021). Revenues are up 19% to Rs 344 crore from Rs 289 crore in the previous quarter.

    Business highlights (Q1 FY22):

    • Quarterly average AUM for the quarter stood at Rs 1.87 lakh crore
    • Equity assets make up 53% of total assets
    • Gross SIP inflows stood at Rs 1,009 crore
    • SIP AUM jumps 12% in a quarter to Rs 15,523 crore at the end of June 30, 2021
