The Sundaram Finance Group, the parent company of Sundaram Mutual Fund has launched a song campaign to counter vaccine related misinformation and encourage people of Tamil Nadu to get fully vaccinated.

As a part of the initiative, the group released a music video composed by two well-known names in the Tamil music industry Anirudh Ravichander and Arivarasu Kalainesan (makers of popular Tamil track – ‘Why this Kolaveri Di’)

Titled 'Oosingo', the video encourages people to take vaccine and bring an end to the pandemic. 'Oosingo' loosely translates to 'vaccinate yourself'.

"Vaccine hesitancy is strong in rural Tamil Nadu due to a lot of misinformation. Through this initiative, we want to bust the myths and encourage people to get vaccinated," said Sunil Subramaniam, MD & CEO, Sundaram Mutual Fund.

The Sundaram Finance group plans to spend up to Rs 10 crore to promote the message across various media channels and through on-ground initiatives.

"We believe this is a crucial time and we are in the last mile in our fight against Covid. We need to keep up the momentum to educate and encourage our people to get vaccinated," said Harsha Viji, Executive Vice Chairman, Sundaram Finance.
