The mutual fund industry received Rs 31,000 crore net SIP inflows as against gross SIP inflows of Rs.48,500 in the first four months of FY 2023 i.e. between April and July. With this, the net inflows in SIPs increased to 64% of the gross SIP inflows, shows AMFI report.
This financial year, the highest net inflows was recorded in June at Rs 8,600 crore. The amount is highest since AMFI started disclosing net SIP data. May 2022 was the only other month when net SIP inflows had crossed Rs. 8,000 crore, shows an analysis of AMFI data.
The analysis shows that investors remained unaffected by the volatility in the equity market in the first few months of FY 2023. A high net to gross inflow ratio shows that not only investors continued to pour money into mutual funds through SIP but they also abstained from panic redemptions.
