    Meet the top 30 individual MFDs of India

    Pune MFD Gaurav Ganpule, Bangalore MFD Manjula S and Mumbai MFD Ganesh Shanbag are the top three distributors in the individual category.

    Pune’s Gaurav Ganpule, Bangalore’s Manjula S and Mumbai’s Ganesh Shanbhag are the top three largest individual MFDs in the MF industry, shows the AMFI’s latest data on AUM disclosure of the top MFDs. 

    As on March 2022, Gaurav is the largest MFD of India with assets under management of Rs.1425 crore. His assets grew by 41% from Rs.1013 crore in the last one year. 

    Woman MFD Manjula S closely followed Gaurav for the second position with assets of Rs.1346 crore. Her AUM went up by 17% in the last one year.

    Ganesh, the third largest MFD, saw his AUM grew by massive 102% last financial year. His assets zoomed from Rs.589 crore to Rs.1188 crore.

    Goa’s Hari Kamat and Mumbai’s Sadashiv Phene captured fourth and fifth spot respectively. 

    Among other top 10 MFDs as on March 2022 are Harish Kotian (Mumbai), Jennifer Mendes (Goa), Rakesh Pasricha (New Delhi), Rajbir Singh (Mumbai) and Mukund Seshadri (Mumbai).

    Interestingly, among top 30 MFDs, two individual MFDs – Kannan Padma, Bellary, Karnataka and Ramkumar Barchha, Rajkot are from B30 cities. 

    Please note that we have considered only individual mutual fund distributors’ name to make this list. We have excluded boutique distribution firms that are promoted by individual MFDs.
