Mumbai: It has been a stellar year for HDFC Mutual Fund which made its presence felt at all the award shows this year. HDFC team stole the show by bagging the best fund house, the best equity and best debt fund house of the year award at the glittering CNBC-TV18-CRISIL Mutual Fund Awards 2011 awards show held yesterday at ITC Grand Central.
While accepting the award, Milind Barve, MD, HDFC said that the team would strive to deliver on the raised expectations from investors. The star fund manager Prashant Jain had to stay close to the stage as awards continued to shower. He bagged the award for Equity Fund Manager of the year.
Birla Sun Life MF’s Maneesh Dangi walked away with the Debt Fund Manager of the year award.
The most investor-friendly house of the year award was given to UTI Mutual Fund by K N Vaidyanthan, ED, SEBI. Jaideep Bhattachrya, CMO, UTI MF accepted the award.
Besides, Motilal Oswal’s MOSt Shares M50 won the most innovative fund of the year award.
The show was attended by leading honchos of the mutual fund industry. H N Sinor, CEO, AMFI and V Ramesh, Deputy CEO, AMFI were spotted at the evening. The show was hosted by Sonia Shenoy. Udayan Mukherjee, Managing Editor, CNBC and Latha Venkatesh, Banking and Commodities Editor, CNBC were also present.
