PFRDA has appointed Dr Deepak Mohanty as the new Chairman. He has replaced Supratim Bandyopadhyay, whose term ended in January.
Prior to this, Dr Mohanty has worked as ED at RBI and was the member of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC).
In his new role, Dr Mohanty will be responsible for overseeing the development and regulation of the pension sector in India.
Deepak has done Bachelor's degree in Economics from Ravenshaw College, Cuttack, in 1979. He also holds a Master's degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University and Master's degree in Economics from Yale University.
