    Franklin Templeton MF announces dividend under its Franklin India Taxshield

    Franklin Templeton MF has announced a dividend of Rs.3 per unit (Face Value of Rs.10) or 30%, in its open end equity linked savings scheme - Franklin India Taxshield (FIT). 

    The record date for the dividend is January 24, 2014 and any purchases on or before this date will be eligible for the dividend. Under the dividend reinvestment plan, the dividend declared will be reinvested in the Fund at the NAV of January 27, 2014 and unitholders will be allotted additional units for the dividend amount.

    FIT aims to provide medium to long term growth of capital along with income tax rebate. The fund seeks steady growth by maintaining a diversified portfolio of equities across sectors and market cap range. Anand Radhakrishan and Anil Prabhudas are co-managing the fund.
