Charlie Munger the vice chairman of Berkshire Hathaway passed away at 99 in California. He was a celebrated name in the financial world and regarded as the closest aid to Warren Buffett, CEO, Berkshire Hathaway.
Following his demise, the Company released a statement on November 28, 2023. It said, “Berkshire Hathaway a few minutes ago was advised by members of Charlie Munger’s family that he peacefully died this morning at a California hospital”.
It also quoted Warren saying, “Berkshire Hathaway could not have been built to its present status without Charlie’s inspiration, wisdom and participation.”
The passing away of Charlie has created a huge void in the financial world, which will always reverberate his timeless lessons.
