    SBI, HDFC and ICICI Pru: Top three fund houses in equity AUM

    These three fund houses collectively manage over Rs 9.48 lakh crore of equity assets.

    An analysis of equity AUM of the top 30 fund houses shows that SBI MF, HDFC MF and ICICI Prudential MF are the top three equity players. These fund houses collectively manage over Rs.9.48 lakh crore assets as on September 2023.

    SBI MF tops the equity AUM ranking with equity assets of Rs.3.28 lakh crore. HDFC MF and ICICI Prudential MF follow SBI MF with an AUM of Rs. 3.12 lakh crore and Rs. 3.08 lakh crore, respectively.

    Interestingly, these are the only three fund houses with over Rs 3 lakh crore of average equity AUM.

    Kotak MF and Nippon India MF follow next with Rs 1.83 lakh crore and Rs 1.69 lakh crore of equity assets, respectively.

    Four more fund houses - Axis MF, Aditya Birla Sun Life MF, Mirae Asset MF and UTI MF have over Rs 1 lakh crore of these assets. They manage Rs 1.61 lakh crore, Rs 1.30 lakh crore, Rs 1.24 lakh crore and Rs 1.09 lakh crore of average AUM, respectively.

    Finally, the top-ten list closes with DSP MF who has equity assets of Rs 85,785 crore.

    Overall, the top 30 fund houses have Rs 25.11 lakh crore of equity assets.
