The Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said that the Indian economy will have the advantage of 30:30:30.
Explaining this, Goyal said that India has demographic advantages of having a young workforce of 30 years who will work for another 30 years and take the economy to $30 trillion in 30 years.
Goyal was speaking at the AMFI Mutual Fund Summit 2025 recently held in Mumbai.
Further, Goyal said that India will remain the fastest growing large economy for the next 22 years.
One of the primary objectives of the government is that India should remain an attractive investment destination for all stakeholders, he added.
The Industry Minister said that the MF industry should handhold small investors especially during volatile times to retain their confidence in capital markets.
Also, he said that the industry should become a trusted partner of investors and tell investors not to worry about short term blips in the market.
As long as, industry has done it honestly, not mis-sold, done research and given risk warning, the industry should continue to grow, he said.
Goyal urged the industry to continue to focus on financial literacy to achieve financial inclusion.
