    Which fund houses have the highest AUM in T30 cities?

    T30 cities contribute Rs. 54.54 lakh crore to the MF industry assets.

    Cafemutual’s analysis of AUM data shows that SBI MF, ICICI Prudential MF and HDFC MF are the top three fund houses in terms of the top 30 cities as of March 2025.

    SBI MF has the highest AUM from the T30 cities of Rs. 8.17 lakh crore, constituting about 77% of its total assets.

    ICICI Pru MF secures the second spot with T30 assets of Rs. 7.36 lakh crore, making up about 84% of the AMC’s total MF AUM while HDFC MF is third on the list with the T30 cities contributing assets of Rs. 6.17 lakh crore, about 81% of the fund house’s total AUM.

    Nippon India MF and Kotak MF are next in the ranking with T30 assets of Rs. 4.45 lakh crore and Rs. 4.21 lakh crore, respectively. Both the fund houses have recorded 80% and 88% of their total assets from T30 locations, respectively.

    Other fund houses with healthy T30 AUM include Aditya Birla Sun Life MF, UTI MF, Axis MF, DSP MF and Tata MF.

    In terms of proportion of T30 assets with respect to the total AUM, the newly launched Unifi MF has the highest share of its AUM coming from T30 cities at 99.7%. Edelweiss MF is next with the top 30 locations contributing about 94% of its total assets while Old Bridge MF is third with T30 cities contributing 92% of its AUM.

    Other fund houses which have healthy share of their assets from T30 cities are Trust MF, 360 One Asset MF, Helios MF, Bandhan MF, Invesco MF, Kotak MF and JM Financial MF.

    Overall, T30 locations make up Rs. 54.54 lakh crore, about 82%, of the total MF assets of Rs. 66.71 lakh crore.

    AMC T30 AUM growth in FY25

    If we look at  AMCs based on their T30 AUM growth in FY25, ICICI Pru MF has seen the highest absolute growth of Rs. 1.51 lakh crore in T30 assets. HDFC MF is next with an increase of Rs. 1.12 lakh crore in its T30 assets while Nippon India MF is third with an increase of about Rs. 89,300 crore over the last one year.

    SBI MF and Kotak MF have recorded T30 AUM growth of Rs. 88,700 crore and Rs. 78,200 crore to take the fourth and fifth spot, respectively.

    In term of percentage growth, Old Bridge MF has seen the highest T30 AUM growth at 523%. Zerodha MF is second with growth rate of 406% while Bajaj Finserv MF is third with a 218% AUM growth in the top 30 cities. Helios MF and Trust MF have also recorded healthy growth in T30 AUM of 192% and 145%, respectively.
