UTI MF has introduced a new facility called ‘CanServe’ which will enable investors to donate a certain portion of their dividends for children undergoing cancer treatment. UTI MF has joined hands with St. Jude India ChildCare Centres for this initiative, said a press release issued by the company.

Contributions under “CanServe” facility will go to St Jude India ChildCare Centres as donation for needy and under-privileged children who are undergoing cancer treatment.

Leo Puri, MD of UTI MF said, “We are happy to partner with St. Jude India ChildCare Centres in this new philanthropy oriented initiative which will help the under-privileged children who are being treated for cancer. CanServe will provide a platform to investors to contribute towards cancer care.”

Under the dividend pay-out option, investors have a choice to donate either 50% or 100% of the dividend declared, with a minimum donation amount of Rs.1,000. Under the growth option, investors have the choice to contribute a minimum Rs.1,000 at each half yearly pay-out option by redeeming corresponding units on semi-annual basis.

UTI Balanced Fund, UTI Spread Fund and UTI Mastershare Unit Scheme are the eligible schemes through which investors can participate in this initiative.
