    Pankaj Sharma is the new head of fixed income at DSP BlackRock MF

    The current head of fixed income Dhawal Dalal is serving his notice period and is likely to move on in a month or two.

    DSP BlackRock MF’s head of fixed income Dhawal Dalal has put in his papers. He will be replaced by Pankaj Sharma, Head of Business Development & Risk Management, said a press release issued by the company.

    Dhawal is currently serving his notice period and is likely to move on in a month or two.

    Pankaj joined DSPBR in 2003 and has more than 23 years of global and regional experience in asset management, investment banking and retail banking businesses.  Before joining DSP BlackRock, Pankaj worked with Citigroup for almost 10 years with assignments covering India, Singapore and the United States. Pankaj holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science (Gold Medalist) and has an MBA from the XLRI School of Business.

    Meanwhile, the fund house has expanded its fixed income team by appointing two senior fund managers. Vikram Chopra and Kedar Karnik will be joining DSPBR’s fixed income team. Vikram joins DSP BlackRock from L&T MF and brings with him over 14 years of investment experience. He has previously worked with Fidelity, IDBI Bank and Axis Bank.

    Kedar joins DSP BlackRock from Axis Asset Management and has over 10 years of investment experience. He has previously worked with HSBC MF and CRISIL.

     

    DSPBR currently manages AUM of Rs. 39,133 crore as on March 2016 out of which 23,139 crore is in fixed income.
