Vetri succeeds Anoop Bhaskar who is now with IDFC MF.
Vetri Subramaniam has been appointed as Group President & Head-Equity of UTI Mutual Fund, said a press release issued by the fund house. Vetri replaces Anoop Bhaskar who had joined IDFC MF two months back.
Prior to joining UTI, Vetri was as CIO at Invesco AMC. He is an MBA from IIM, Bangalore and has been associated with fund management and research for over two decades. He is currently serving his notice period at Invesco. Prior to this, he has also worked with Kotak Mahindra AMC and Motilal Oswal Securities.
In a press release, Leo Puri, Managing Director, UTI AMC said, “We are pleased that Vetri Subramaniam will be joining us as our Head-Equity. Vetri with his vast experience in fund management and research will help us to significantly strengthen our existing capabilities in fund management and research.”
UTI AMC currently manages AUM of Rs. 1.12 lakh crore as on June 2016 of which Rs. 38,000 crore is in equity funds.
