After spending close to six years at IDFC Mutual Fund, Kalpen Parekh, MD – Sales & Marketing, has put in his papers, said two sources privy to the development. In addition to sales and marketing, Kalpen Parekh was also heading the portfolio management services and international businesses at IDFC MF.
Kalpen joined IDFC Mutual Fund as Deputy CEO in November 2010.
Prior to joining IDFC MF, Kalpen was heading the sales & distribution functions at Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund. Earlier, Kalpen was joint head—retail sales & distribution, ICICI Prudential AMC.
He has over a decade of experience in retail sales and distribution. Kalpen is an MBA in Finance from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.
IDFC Mutual Fund is the 10th largest fund house, and manages Rs. 54,091 crore as on June 2016.
