    Kalpen Parekh joins DSP BlackRock MF as Joint President

    DSP BlackRock Mutual Fund has appointed Kalpen Parekh as its Joint President, said a press release issued by the company. He will be responsible for overseeing functions such as Sales, Marketing, Operations, Human Resources and Risk & Quantitative Analysis, while leading International Sales.

    S Naganath will continue to be the President and CIO of the firm.

    Parekh brings in over 19 years of experience in sales across client segments, distribution and marketing. He was previously Managing Director and Head of Sales & Marketing at IDFC Mutual Fund. He has also served in Birla Sun Life MF and ICICI Prudential MF after beginning his career with L&T Finance Ltd.

    Parekh holds a Master's Degree in Management Studies in Finance from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune.

    Hemendra Kothari, Chairman, DSP BlackRock MF said, “Kalpen brings with him valuable experience and insights from leading the sales and distribution functions over the years. I am confident that his leadership experience will be a huge positive for our organization and help drive further energy into our growing momentum.’’

    S Naganath, President and CIO, DSP BlackRock MF said, “Our assets under management have grown at a fast pace over the last year. Kalpen’s valuable experience in the industry will be helpful in accelerating the current growth momentum of DSP BlackRock and in achieving many more milestones in the future.”

    As on December 2016, DSP BlackRock MF manages AUM of over Rs.58,350 crore.
