An analysis done by Cafemutual on ETFs shows that ETFs of Nippon India MF did well across most categories in terms of impact cost. The fund house commands lowest impact cost across five ETF categories – large cap, mid cap, gold, thematic and liquid.
Overall, among large cap ETFs, Nippon India ETF Nifty 50 BeES has the lowest impact cost of 0.03. SBI Nifty 50 ETF, the largest ETF by AUM and Nippon India ETF Nifty Next 50 Junior BeES are the next two ETFs with low impact cost of 0.06 each.
In mid cap ETFs category, the top three funds in terms of low impact cost are Nippon India ETF Nifty Midcap 150, ICICI Prudential Nifty Midcap 150 ETF, Motilal Oswal Nifty Midcap 100 ETF and DSP Nifty Midcap 150 Quality 50 ETF.
In liquid ETFs, DSP NIFTY 1D Rate Liquid ETF and Nippon India ETF Nifty 1D Rate Liquid BeES have lowest impact cost of 0.01.
Impact cost is simply the difference between the ideal price of unit and the traded price of unit. It is reported in percentage terms. Lower the impact cost, better the fund return.
