How Bihar MFD brings back a family on track after a tragic incident

Amrita Mishra has ensured that a deceased client’s family receives money across all possible sources – mutual funds, insurance, office PF and government pension scheme.
    Nishant Patnaik Mar 17, 2022

Darbhanga MFD Amrita Mishra has gone out of her way to bring back a family on track who suffered a tragic incident.

Recognising her efforts, SBI Mutual Fund and Cafemutual have felicitated Amrita with Sanjeevani Awards 2021 at Cafemutual Ideas Fest 2022.

While team Cafemutual received quite a few nominations where MFDs had helped deceased client families receive proceeds from mutual funds and other financial products, Amrita’s story caught our attention as she not only helped a not-so-well-off with investment proceeds, she ensured that the family received monthly cash flow to meet household expenses.

Amrita was disheartened to know the untimely demise of one of her clients. What caused here even more pain was the fact that he was the sole earning member and was survived by a wife and two minor daughters.

When Amrita looked at his investment portfolio, she realised he only had Rs.50,000 in mutual funds and Rs.2 lakh in life insurance policy. Amrita got in touch with the company where he used to work and helped his family get compensation of Rs.5 lakh. She also ensured that the client’s wife receives monthly pension from government of India.

In fact, Amrita supported the family for the initial six months in all possible ways like arranging funds to meet household expenses.

Thanks to timely support of this MFD, the client’s wife become teacher in a school after a few months and now invests in mutual funds through SIPs.

Amrita told Cafemutual that the woman has become her client and referred many women clients to invest in mutual funds through her.

Cafemutual salutes the spirit of Amrita and urges her to keep up the good work.

Stupendous Job Amrita, This shows the clear difference between a RIA & MFD. MFDs aren't just product distributors, they connect with the family and act in their shoes. Kudos for your effort taken.
