Planning, promotion and execution are the three pillars of a successful SIP drive. While many perceive promotion to be an expensive activity, a phone/laptop and a creative mind are all that you need.

Here are three proven and cost-effective ways to promote SIP drive.

    Video promotion

You can shoot your video and share it with your clients and prospects through social media. Here are three simple tips to make your video attractive:

    • Content - You may look at creating educational content like benefits of SIP, identification and prioritisation of financial goals, the importance of financial freedom and so on.  Integrate your SIP drive smartly with the script
    • Shoot specifications - Choose a non-distracting background, preferably a clean wall in a well-lit room. While talking, look straight into camera lens and limit hand gestures. Given the limited human attention span, keep the video length shorter preferably up to 1 min
    • Dress code - Wear smart formals that do not blend with your background. Avoid stripes, polka dots, plaid and other patterns, they create a weird wavy effect that is uncomfortable to watch. Also, avoid brightly coloured clothes. Women MFDs may consider wearing subtle make-up and simple jewellery

In case you are camera shy, you can still make informative videos by using digital tools like Canva, Invideo, etc.

    Poster promotion

You can also use free-of-cost digital tools on apps like Canva to create a poster or creative.

    • Content - Images are more impactful than text. Use a blend of both. Create a design in line with your drive’s theme and make limited use of words. Using a hashtag and a tagline make posters more effective. Hashtags expand online reach while taglines stay with investors. Also, incorporate a call to action like ‘Call XXXXX XXXXX for more details’ or add a hyperlink.
    • Design - Avoid using too many elements and use the space wisely. Ensure readability by using appropriate text font, style and size. Play with colours. Good use of contrast increases the visual appeal.

    Taglines

Taglines are better when you keep it simple, short and rhythmic. Taglines should convey a meaningful objective. Use any language of your choice. Here are a few taglines created by your industry peers:

    • Baat chiit se Bachat - Prashant Kumar from Bihar
    • SIP is Mast, SIP is Must - RH Kothari from Mumbai
    • SIP Karo Wealthy Raho - Sohil Sanghvi of Money Saviour from Mumbai
    • Ek SIP Karuya, Aarthik Samruddhi Ghari Aanuya - Sachin Karate, Varad Financial Services of Nashik
    • Yog for Health, SIP for Wealth - Mehul Shah of Money Plant Finmart of Ahmedabad
