PFRDA has introduced e-nomination facility to enable NPS subscribers make changes online to nomination in Permanent Retirement Account Number (PRAN).
Currently, NPS subscribers who want to change their nomination are required to physically submit the nomination form to the associated nodal officers, corporates, or points of presence. With e-nomination, the entire process can be done online.
Here is how your clients can avail e-nomination.
- Your clients can login to the Central Record Keeping Agency (CRA) system and select ‘update personal details’ under the ‘demographic changes’ menu
- They have to select ‘add/update nominee details’ and submit nominee information like name, relationship with nominee and percentage share
- Once your clients save these details, they will have to submit the OTP received on mobile number for verification
- Your clients are required to e-sign to authenticate the changes by selecting the ‘e-sign and download’ option
- Further, they will be taken to e-signature service providers page for e-sign where he or she is required to enter aadhaar/virtual ID and click on send OTP. OTP will be sent to the mobile number registered with UIDAI
- Investors need to submit the OTP and click on verify OTP
- After authentication, the nomination details will be updated in NPS records
- If e-sign fails then they have to update the nomination as per the existing physical process
