AMFI will do away with the physical route to renew ARN. This will come into effect from July 1, 2022.
Sharing the rationale, AMFI said that majority of ARN renewals have been happening through online route. In fact, over 76% of ARNs were renewed digitally during FY 2021-21. Online renewal of ARN has now increased to 91% in April 2022, said AMFI.
AMFI said, “The Online ARN / EUIN renewal process is very quick, convenient, seamless and efficient process whereby the MFDs can pay their ARN/EUIN renewal fees online via net banking, debit card or credit card and renew their ARN/EUIN with just a few clicks without having to visit CAMS POS. Due to the built in validations, the online process also eliminates the scope for any NIGO (not in good order) cases or excess/short payments and consequent refunds/rejections or reconciliation issues.”
“It has therefore been decided with the approval of AMFI Board to make it mandatory for ARN/ EUIN holders to renew their ARN/ EUIN only through online mode through AMFI Website w.e.f. July 1, 2022,” said AMFI
You can visit AMFI website www.amfiindia.com and click on ‘Distributor Corner’ and select ‘Online Registration & Renewal of ARN & EUIN’ to renew ARN online.
