    UTI MF’s Children Career Plan helps over nine lakh girls born in below poverty line families

    Mumbai: UTI Mutual Fund’s Children Career Plan has lent a helping hand to 9 per cent of families living below poverty line (BPL) in Bihar.

    Under Bihar government’s 'Mukhya Mantri Kanya Suraksha, the state government invests Rs 2,000 in UTI MF’s Children Career Plan - Growth Option, on the birth of first two baby girls in BPL families.

    The girl child covered under the scheme is paid the maturity amount when she turns 18 years of age. The Bihar government has invested a total of Rs 134 crore under the scheme so far, to provide benefit to 9,27,596 girls.
